Neighborhood Associations
Getting involved in your local neighborhood association is a great way to get to know your neighbors and band together to try and help your neighborhood’s specific needs.
Neighborhood associations play a larger role in our new form of city government to lobby the new district-elected officials, so now is a great time to get involved!
Multnomah County Democrats
Anyone registered as Democrat in Multnomah County can join or run
Precinct Committeepersons (PCP) are elected in May of even-numbered years
You can apply to be a PCP on the 1st of each month
Board member elections occurs in late January every year
Multnomah County Republicans
Anyone registered as a Republican in Multnomah County can run or join
Precinct Committeepersons (PCPs) must register by March for May elections
If you want to see a change in your local party’s political platform, you have to join them and be a voice in the process. Join meetings, volunteer, run for office in the party.
